Minister of Justice meets Director of German International Cooperation Office (GIZ) in Jordan
Minister of Justice, Dr. Bassam Al-Talhouni, said that the historical relations between Jordan and the Federal Republic of Germany is a role model for relations among states; especially since the relation of both friendly countries is based on an ongoing cooperation and the principle of mutual respect. And that has been taken place today, wednesday during his meeting with Director of German International Cooperation Office in Jordan, Dr. Lorenz Petersen, and his accompanying delegation.
Al-Talhouni mentioned that His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein's Visions for the three reforms in political, administrative and economic field are a road map for all sectors of the country to follow, stressing that all projects and initiatives implemented must adapt the Royal Visions for reform.
During the meeting, both Parties have discussed the fields of the joint cooperation between the German Agency and the Ministry of Justice, as the German Agency (GIZ) is the main provider for technical assistance to the Ministry and partners in the European Union project to support the rule of law in Jordan through the budget (2023-2026) by providing technical support to the project in several areas including the development of the policies, strategies, potentials and technical expertise for the improvement of technological progress such as remote trials, digital transformation, enhancing litigation procedures, further access to justice, enhancing legal assistance services and further use of alternative sanction.
Petersen stressed that Jordan is one of the most important partners in the region, and the projects implemented with Jordan are a model to be emulated.
