Jordan participates in 73rd Session of Executive Office of Arab Justice Ministers Council
Minister of Justice, Bassam Al-Talhouni, participated in the 73rd Session of the Executive Office of Arab Justice Ministers Council, which was held in Cairo, on Wednesday, the session chaired by Saudi Arabia, in preparation for the 40th session of the Council, which will be held on Thursday.
Jordan's participation in the meeting confirms its role in business and joint Arab legal strategies.
The meeting discussed the agenda that will be presented tomorrow to the 40th session of Arab Justice Ministers Council. Ways to activate the Arab Convention to Combat Terrorism and its implementation mechanism, the Arab Convention to Combat Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, and the Arab Convention to Combat Information Technology Crimes, and to enhance Arab and international cooperation in the field of combating terrorism.
The meeting also discussed the implementation of decisions related to the Arab Convention against Corruption, the draft Arab Convention on the situation of refugees in Arab countries, and the draft Arab Convention on the Protection of Personal Data. The draft Arab guiding law to prevent hate speech, the draft Arab guiding law protecting and assisting displaced persons in Arab countries, the draft Arab guiding law protecting children from recruitment into armed conflicts, and the draft Arab guiding law to combat narcotics and psychotropic substances.
The Executive Office of Arab Justice Ministers Council. includes Jordan, the Emirates, Bahrain, Tunisia, Iraq, Libya and Morocco among its members.
