48 Lawyers take oath before the Minister of Justice
48 newly lawyers were sworn in today, Monday, before Minister of Justice Dr. Bassam Talhouni. Monday, in the presence of Yahya Abu Aboud, President of the Jordanian Bar Association.
Minister Talhouni extended a warm welcome to the incoming legal professionals, emphasizing the crucial role lawyers play in revealing truth and upholding justice. He expressed his best wishes for their success in carrying forward this noble mission.
This oath-taking ceremony is not merely a formality but a legal requirement. As stipulated in Article 23 of the Bar Association Law, all first-time registrants to the master lawyers' register must swear their oath in the presence of the Minister of Justice and either the Bar Association President or two of the judicial council members.
