The Committee for the Study of Small Dispute Resolution recommends that it be given urgency

During its conclusion, the Committee for the Study of Small Dispute Resolution recommended the establishment of a workshop organized by the Ministry of Justice in the Dead Sea to give the rulings of small disputes urgency and to give the courts dealing with this type of dispute powers to issue urgent judicial orders before dismissal.

The committee pointed out the need to launch a national plan that helps in the development and preparation of short, quick and simplified procedures that are not high financial costs to settle minor disputes. The committee stressed the need for legal amendments to ensure the continuity of these procedures and the necessary developments, in this type of dispute.

The Ministry of Justice has adopted an initiative to simplify procedures in small disputes with a value of less than one thousand dinars and issues of fast track, which exceed the value of one thousand dinars and not more than three thousand dinars, and in this framework formed a committee of specialists and legal experts to study this type of disputes and come up with recommendations and proposals which would establish simplified and expeditious procedures to help settle such disputes.

The ministry, in cooperation with the Committee on Small Disputes, held a workshop on "Small Disputes" last Saturday with the participation of experts and specialists. The committee concluded its work and issued recommendations and proposals for the establishment of quick and easy procedures for settling small disputes.
